Snow Park NZ is a resort purely dedicated to providing the most innovative freestyle terrain in the southern hemisphere, receiving the NZSBA resort of the year in 2004 and the Boarderzone NZ Shred awards resort of the year in 2005. It has been designed to captivate the essence of freestyle riding within a safe and positive environment.
SUBERB FEATURES Snow Park NZ is specially built to foster the progression of rider's skills, with perfectly designed and maintained features catering for beginners through to advanced. Inspiration is guaranteed by sharing the resort with top mentors in skiing and snowboarding fields.The jewel of the Park is the pristine Superpipe, among two other halfpipes. Snow Park also features a quarter pipe, a range of jumps, rails and other terrain features which are changed regularly.
AWESOME VIEWS Located in the heart of the Cardrona Valley, the Snow Park can be easily accessed from both Queenstown and Wanaka. The resort captures the evening sun and truly awesome views over the Southern Alps, through to the valley floor, and Hawea and Wanaka basins.
EVENTS FOR EVERYONE Breaking the traditions of other ski resorts, Snow Park has been created to be at the hub of the world freestyle circuit. It hosts an amazing event calendar ranging from large international events with spectacular viewing opportunities, to small local events for riders of all ages and abilities.Snow Girls NZ is a popular girls' coaching programme run throughout the year which offers girls a great introduction to the park. The aim is to entice girls into the world of skiing and snowboarding in a comfortable and fun environment. It is the perfect opportunity to ride together and make new friends. The camps are small so each person receives specialized tuition and ensures individual goals will be met.
FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE The Park is a unique resort with a friendly, laid back atmosphere enhanced by the all-mountain sound system and base area facilities, featuring couches on large sundecks, barbeques and cosy cafes. Fine kiwi cuisine is also on offer from the new restaurant-bar which offers a full service for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
INNOVATION Snow Park continues its innovative developments by being the first ski area in New Zealand to offer privately owned luxury apartments and bunk rooms on the hill. It has grown from humble beginnings, a small idea around a few drinks in 2001, to currently attracting a metropolis of visitors from all over the world.
